After a year of testing and evaluation, China Central Television ultimately selected a solution equipped with natively high-precision virtual sensors. Moviebird24-VR A virtual telescoping boom arm made its debut on the Spring Festival Gala stage. Moviebird and Onome joined forces at top speed to deliver two sets of virtual telescoping arms—complete with one set—just in time before the New Year. MB50XL-VR Virtual telescoping rocker arm, one set MB24-VR Virtual telescoping boom arm—this also marks the first time Moviebird has delivered two sets of its latest virtual system worldwide.
MB24-VR The virtual zooming jib took part in the live broadcast of this year’s CCTV Spring Festival Gala, helping the AR virtual real-time rendering engine deliver richer, more vibrant, and breathtaking visual effects to viewers at home. Compared with conventional virtual jibs, MB24-VR The virtual zoom‑and‑pan arm enables broader camera movements, further enhancing the sense of presence and spatial depth in AR and XR environments.
AR Program: Opening song-and-dance number “May All Things Go as You Wish,” closing song-and-dance number “Unforgettable Tonight,” “Get the Ox Moving,” “Burning Snowflakes,” and the martial arts performance “Heroes of Heaven and Earth” (produced by the CCTV Recording Department, using ROSS rendering servers).
XR Programs: Fashion Runway Shows “Mountains and Waters in Silks” and “China in the Glow of Lights” (produced using the UK‑based Disguise engine)
Virtual-Character Show: “Listen to Me” (produced by the Japanese side using the Unity engine)
In addition, it was also used for most of the audience shots during the live stream.
Moviebird’s telescoping jib system has earned the recognition and praise of CCTV leadership, the Spring Festival Gala directors, camera operators, and third-party rendering‑server teams—thanks to its robust performance (withstanding 24/7 high‑intensity rehearsals and live broadcasts without a single glitch), exceptional virtual‑camera precision, and rock‑solid image stability. We are grateful to China Central Television for its endorsement of Ounome products, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the leaders both on and off stage, as well as to all the dedicated professionals who have poured their efforts into this project.

Ounome’s latest Naga dual‑mode folding jib breaks free from the limitations of traditional straight‑arm designs. Featuring a three‑axis mechanical linkage system, it enables the arm to fold and retract with complete freedom. Its proprietary chain‑drive technology synchronously controls the front‑arm folding angle, counterweight balance, and pan‑tilt leveling, allowing seamless manual adjustment of the camera’s reach without any electrical power. Constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy, it boasts an impressive front‑end load capacity of up to 40 kg, effectively eliminating the common issue of track‑movement interference. As a standalone solution, it combines the stability of a conventional jib with the flexibility of an imported telescoping arm, significantly reducing production costs. Now available, it has quickly won the favor of photographers worldwide.
